Pro wrestling veteran Jerry Lynn has now decided to go after wrestlers who have specifically told fans not to approach them in public.
While speaking on Monte & The Pharaoh, Jerry Lynn called out wrestlers who dont want fans to approach them in public. He said that wrestlers should remember that fans are the reason they have jobs.
Lynn explained that he understands if someone interrupts a meal at a restaurant, but he personally has never experienced that. Instead, fans usually wait until he is finished eating, or they approach him in hotel lobbies, airports, and other public places. He always takes a moment to talk to them because they support his career.
Lynn also mentioned that some people bring a large number of photos and ask for many autographs. He believes wrestlers can simply tell them they will only sign one and move on, instead of getting upset. Because wrestlers choose to work in the spotlight, he thinks they should accept fan attention as part of the job.
In the end, Jerry Lynn believes wrestlers should be grateful for their fans and shouldnt act as though they are too important to be approached.
This comes after the likes of CM Punk have called out fans for approaching him in public, especially those who had been showing up uninvited at airports and hotels. He made it clear it such people are not fans but stalkers.
Jerry Lynn believes wrestlers should welcome their fans and appreciate the support that keeps the business going. He says its fine to set boundaries, but being rude or acting like you dont want to be approached is disrespectful to the people who help make wrestlers famous in the first place. So well have to see whether other people will agree with what Jerry Lynn had to say.
