Hank Walker and Tank Ledgers run as GHC Tag Team Champions has officially come to an endjust thirteen days after it started.
The WWE NXT duo dropped the titles on Friday at Pro Wrestling NOAHs Cross Over 2025 event in Japan, falling to Masa Kitamiya and Takashi Sugiura. The loss wasnt exactly clean. Kitamiya and Sugiura, who originally lost the belts to Hank & Tank on November 8, used steel chair shots and outside interference from their Team 2000X faction to reclaim the championships in heel fashion. This brings the title feud between the two teams full circle in under two weeks.
Hank & Tank began their NOAH excursion on October 26 and have worked seven matches with the promotion, gaining valuable experience outside of the WWE system. Before the match, the duo made their ambitions clear in a social media promo, stating they wanted to return to WWE NXT still holding the GHC Tag Titles.
That wont happen nowbut the international exposure could still boost their status once they return to the U.S.
Both former college football players, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger have been a regular tag team in NXT since 2023. They previously held the NXT Tag Team Titles for four months earlier this year, from April to August.
Their excursion is part of WWEs deepening relationship with Pro Wrestling NOAH, which has already seen talent exchanges involving Omos, Charlie Dempsey, Harlem Lewis, Tavion Heights, and Josh Briggs. On the flip side, current GHC Heavyweight Champion Yoshiki Inamura also had an extended run in NXT before heading back to Japan.
Inamura successfully defended his title against Kaito Kiyomiya in the main event of Cross Over 2025, and it was announced that his next defense will be against OZAWA at NOAH The New Year 2026 on January 1.
