Scorpio Sky sparked concern on AEW Dynamite after appearing to injure his elbow during a six-man tag match, but a new update has provided some relief for fans.
According to Bryan Alvarez, the former TNT Champions elbow tweak is not believed to be serious at this time.
The injury occurred during Skys match alongside Top Flight against The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander. After taking a facebuster from Nick Jackson, Sky was seen favoring his left elbow and continued to grab at it throughout the bout. He even kept his arm close to his side while throwing punches, clearly working through discomfort.
Despite staying active for several moments in the match, Sky wasnt part of the finish, with Dante Martin eventually tapping out to Josh Alexander. That only fueled speculation that the elbow issue could be more significant.
Alvarez noted the injury during a recent update and stated that while the specific nature of the elbow problem remains unknown, it doesnt appear to be a long-term concern. Theres been no confirmation that Sky will miss time, and he wasnt booked for any matches at this weekends Full Gear event regardless.
Scorpio Sky returned to AEW this past July after nearly two years away, forming the SkyFlight faction with Top Flight, Christopher Daniels, and Leila Grey. Since his return, hes wrestled seven times in AEW and ROH, including three matches already in November.
With his momentum slowly rebuilding, fans are hopeful the elbow issue doesnt put another pause on his career.
