Stefanos Tsitsipas was reportedly caught driving well above the speeding limit in Greece and has been slapped with a 2,000 euros fine and will also have his driver's license revoked for a year.

After competing at the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh in mid-October, Tsitsipas was unable to compete at the ATP 250 tournament in Athens due to a back injury. However, while the two-time Grand Slam finalist was prevented from competing at his home tournament, that didn't mean that he couldn't give himself some rest after a challenging 2025 season.

According to Greek publication ProtoThema, Tsitsipas was driving his luxurious Lotus car on Attiki Odos when the smart speeding limit camera shot him driving 210km/h in a 120km/h zone. According to the same publication, the former world No. 3 received his fine in a digital form.

Tsitsipas had a very rough 2025 season

While Tsitsipas managed to win the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai earlier this year, it was all but an easy or good season for the 27-year-old, who finished the year with a 22-18 record and ranked at No. 34 in the world - a far cry from where he once was.

During this past ATP Finals, the Greek recalled one of the brightest moments of his career and winning the 2019 ATP Finals in his debut at the season-ending tournament.

"Six years ago, I experienced my greatest joy as a tennis player, winning the ATP Finals on my debut. It was especially beautiful sharing the stage with Domi, my best friend on tour. The high may have worn off, but I will do everything to ride it again," Tsitsipas wrote on X on November 16th.
