WWE NXTs November 18 episode went down at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York as part of the NXT Gold Rush. A lot of things were booked for the event, and that included title matches throughout the show.
Tatum Paxley has been a fighting champion since winning the NXT Womens Title. This week at Gold Rush, she put that title on the line against Jacy Jayne.
This match was the main event of the night, and it got a big fight feel thanks to Mike Romes ring introductions. They started things out as the two traded moves, but Tatum Paxley was able to take control early on until Fatal Influence got involved. Then Tatum landed a flipping splash on both of them.
The two wrestled through a commercial break, and the action started to pick up when we came back. Tatum rallied against Jacy Jayne, as The Culling supported her at ringside. Tatum nailed a modified Harlem Hangover for a near fall, and Booker T noticed the variation of his old signature move. They continued after that, which included Tatum nailing a suplex off the top which she transitioned into a second one for a near fall.
Izzi Dame slid in a steel chair, but Tatum threw it out. Then Jacy rolled her up for a near fall. After a bit more action, Jacy Jayne hit a Rolling Encore for another near fall, and she couldnt believe it. Izzi Dame took out Lainey Reid at ringside and then the title got tossed in the ring. Jacy Jayne had the title, but she didnt hit her with her, and then Tatum Paxley was taken out of the ring, but her Culling members stopped her from getting back in, and then Izzi Dame nailed her with a big boot and then she rolled her back in where Jacy hit a Rolling Encore to become a two-time NXT Womens Champion.
This was a shocking moment for NXT, and especially Tatum Paxley. Now Izzi Dame has turned on Tatum, and she is no longer NXT Womens Champion.
