WWE NXTs Gold Rush episode on November 18 went down at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, and it featured another big title match for the tag division.

DarkState put the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line against Leon Slater and JeVon Evans. This was DarkStates first defense since winning the titles back on October 25, 2025 at NXT Halloween Havoc, where Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin beat The Broken Hardys in a Broken Rules match to take the belts.

This match was a long time in the making, as Leon Slater had to take care of some X-Division Title obligations in TNA Wrestling. He showed up in NYC, and fans were more than behind him.

This tag team match saw some high spots from the babyface challengers, but DarkState maintained control. The contest stretched through a commercial break, and then JeVon Evans was finally able to create some separation to make the tag to Leon Slater.

After Slater ran around the ring to punish DarkState members with a variety of moves, he nailed a top rope crossbody splash on Osiris for a near fall. Slater returned fire with an incredible dive over the top rope on DarkState as Evans hit a cutter and a splash on Osiris for another near fall.

This match hit a fever pitch as fans in The Theater at Madison Square Garden started to lose their minds. Then Osiris mowed Slater down and got the tag. DarkStates double team move saw Evans accidentally land on Slater as he tried to break up the pin. They threw Evans out of the ring and hit a Doomsday Device on Slater to retain the title.
