Fightful Select reports that WWE has internally prepared materials for a match featuring Solo Sikoa going one-on-one with former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler, now competing under his real name, Nic Nemeth. The report states that this is the direction WWE was moving toward as of Monday afternoon.
While theres always a chance plans could shift before airtime, this latest internal development appears to shut down rampant speculation about Joe Hendry being revealed as Solos mystery opponent tonight. Hendry recently signed with WWE after his TNA contract expired, and hes already made appearances at WrestleMania and on NXT programming. That led many fans to believe he could be next in line for a surprise main roster appearance.
If WWE sticks with the plan, fans at MSG will witness a major return in the form of Nic Nemeth facing off with one of the Bloodlines most dominant members in what could be a career-redefining clash.
