
After achieving his best result of the season on the circuit (27th place in Mexico at the World Wide Technology Championship), Francesco Molinari returns to the PGA Tour alongside Matteo Manassero. From November 13th to 16th at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton Parish, Bermuda, the two Italians will compete in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. The penultimate event of the FedEx Cup Fall, it will offer $6,000,000 in prize money, of which $1,080,000 will go to the winner, and will guarantee important points to maintain their ranking for 2026. After the RSM Classic (November 20th-23rd), the top 100 players will be guaranteed a place on the PGA Tour next year. Those ranked 101st to 125th will earn a partial entry. Molinari, who celebrated his 43rd birthday on November 8th, is currently ranked 187th. Including The Open, the Turin native has so far competed in 14 PGA Tour events in 2025, making the cut seven times. Meanwhile, Manassero, a 32-year-old from Negrar di Valpolicella (Verona), is in his 18th appearance of the season (eight eliminations, five of them recent, and a best finish of sixth in Canada), ranking 164th.

Defending his title will be Puerto Rican Rafael Campos, who is expected to edge out American Andrew Novak in 2024. Among the favorites are Americans Sahith Theegala, Patrick Rodgers, Justin Lower, Eric Cole, and Matt Kuchar. Also in the mix are Frenchman Victor Perez, Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen, the Philippines' Rico Hoey, Germany's Matti Schmid, England's Danny Willett, Japan's Takumi Kanaya, and Colombia's Nico Echavarria. As for past winners, in the field with Campos there will also be Irishman Seamus Power (2022, when he made 28 birdies, a competition record) and Colombian Camilo Villegas (2023).
