Chris Benoits in-ring legacy has always sparked debate, but Ken Anderson just dropped a story that adds a twist to Benoits standing behind the scenes in WWEstraight from the mouth of Vince McMahon himself.
In a recent interview with Elite Wrestle Talk, Anderson talked about Benoits work ethic, intensity, and how his own self-critical nature mightve cost him big in the eyes of the WWE boss. According to Anderson, Paul Heyman once suggested that Benoit should be given a championship runonly for Vince McMahon to shut it down with a brutally cold comment.
Heyman apparently had to step in and remind Vince who he was talking about.
Anderson believes that Benoits self-deprecating attitude gave Vince the wrong impression entirely.
Ken also explained how intense Benoit was in the ringalways pushing for realism, always demanding more, and never satisfied with mediocrity.
