The fallout from Nixon Newell and Miranda Alizes AEW situation just took another turn and this time, one of their peers is weighing in.
After Newell addressed reports claiming AEW sent her home following a supposed backstage disagreement, veteran wrestler Taya Valkyrie spoke up with her own perspective on professionalism and responsibility inside the business.
On her Twitch stream, Newell explained that she and Alize were never sent home after AEW Collision. Instead, they were told they could leave because they didnt feel a threeminute tag match would help anyone involved. She said the online reports got it wrong and insisted there was no bad blood between them and AEW.
Shortly after that explanation went live, Taya Valkyrie took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the situation without naming anyone directly.
Valkyries comments quickly drew attention from fans interpreting it as a subtle response to Newells response. As for Newell and Alize, they continue to insist that the situation was handled respectfully and blown out of proportion by online reports. AEW has not publicly commented on the matter.
Do you agree with Taya Valkyries take that every match no matter how short counts? Or do you think Nixon Newell was right to pass on the threeminute bout? Share your thoughts and reactions in the comments below.
