There is a lot going on in the pro wrestling world, and many fans zeroed in on the controversy surrounding Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize walking out of AEW. Now, they are clapping back and setting the record straight about what went on.
There was some last-minute drama before a recent episode of AEW Collision. Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize were recently involved in a backstage dispute with AEW, where the two were scheduled to face Anna Jay and Tay Melo. Then things changed, so they walked out.
About an hour before the show went live, Newell and Alize reportedly walked out of the arena after a disagreement over the creative direction of their match. The situation sparked immediate changes to the nights lineup and drew attention to ongoing concerns behind the scenes.
During Nixon Newells Twitch stream, the former Tegan Nox went into this situation. She explained that they were not sent home at all. They were simply told that they could leave, because the 3-minute match they were booked in would be better suited for someone else, which is what they relayed to their AEW producer. There was also a lot to set up this situation.
They were then told that the following week, that they might do something for ROH. So, the two made plans to show up again, which did happen. However, the match did not go as planned, because they never wrestled.
Nixon Newell also explained that, They went and relayed that information and said we were free to go home. In the end, They texted us and told us to go, and if youve ever been to that venue, its tiny, its very, very tiny. So, we were given the go ahead to go home, so we got some food.
That instance of them going out to get some food was when fans spotted them out drinking following the appearance. Nixon Newell made a point to say that the headlines about her walking out were twisted and blown out of proportion. We will have to see if she ends up doing any more appearances for AEW or ROH.
