AEW is stacking the deck for their November 12 Blood & Guts special in Greensboro, North Carolina, and now theyve added a massive nostalgia boost.
During the November 8 edition of Collision, Tony Schiavone announced that wrestling legends Ric Flair and Ricky The Dragon Steamboat will both appear at AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts.
Their return to Greensborohome of some of their most iconic matchesadds a sentimental layer to a show already set to feature two brutal double-cage matches. AEW has distributed 4,422 out of 5,125 tickets for the First Horizon Coliseum, with only 703 remaining. Thats a +905 surge in just three days, and new seating has been opened due to the demand. The event is slated for a 2.5-hour runtime, fueling expectations for a wild night. But not everyone is feeling sentimental.
On November 9, Ricochet threw some direct shade at the two Hall of Famers on social media. Reacting to a fan post about Flair and Steamboat appearing on Dynamite, Ricochet reacted to a photo of the duo and wrote:
The jab is a clear shot at AEWs move to spotlight legends. AEW has made it clear theyre blending generational history with their present roster for this show. But if Ricochets comment is any indication, not every current-day star is impressed by the past.
Will Ricochets disrespect for the legends be addressed by AEW? Or is he simply setting the stage for a confrontation of his own down the line?
