Mercedes Mon has no problem collecting goldand she made that very clear after a fan lit up social media with complaints about AEW and WWE having too many championship titles.
On November 8, a fan tweeted out a breakdown that claimed WWE currently has 23 championshipssplit between the main roster, NXT, and other properties like WWE Speed and EVOLVEwhile AEW has 19 titles across its own brand and Ring of Honor. The fans message was clear: both companies are overloaded with belts.
AEWs Ricochet fired back in defense of both promotions, pointing out that a large number of titles gives wrestlers something to fight for on a crowded roster.
Mercedes Mon, who currently holds 12 championship titles across multiple companies, chimed in nextand she didnt mince words. She fully backed Ricochets take and took the opportunity to remind everyone that more belts only means more wins for her.
Her tweet added fuel to the chaos that went down during the October 22 AEW Dynamite episode, when her 12 Belts Celebration turned into a disaster. After a creepy puppet version of Mercedes popped out from under a table, Kris Statlander launched a brutal surprise attack and put Mon through that same table, escalating their feud ahead of Full Gear on November 22 in Newark, New Jersey.
Mercedes isnt letting critics, puppets, or sneak attacks slow her down. Shes walking into Full Gear draped in goldand she clearly has no plans to stop adding to her collection anytime soon.
