
Novak Djokovic will not compete at the ATP Finals! The seven-time champion withdrew from Turin following a marathon final at the ATP 250 event in Athens, skipping the premium ATP event for the second straight year.
The 38-year-old kept his word and announced his decision about his Turin participation following his successful campaign in Athens. The 24-time Major winner bested Lorenzo Musetti 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 in three hours.
He lifted his 101st ATP title but decided to skip the ATP Finals despite qualifying for the record-equalling 18th time. Djokovic's last participation in Turin was in 2023 when he defeated Jannik Sinner in the title clash.
The Serb holds almost every record at the elite-eight ATP tournament. He skipped it last year and decided to follow the same path this season. Instead of another grueling week, Novak wants to enjoy in his newest title and recover his body.

At 38, Djokovic remains one of the world's best player. He lifted two ATP 250 titles in 2025, alongside all four Major semi-finals and two deep Masters 1000 runs in Miami and Shanghai.
The Belgrade native has explained many times that he does not make long-term schedule anymore, entering the events he wants and when he feels physically ready to chase the title.
The 24-time Major winner has been struggling physically recently, and he wants to take more time off the court before making a fresh start in 2026. At 38, he is still eager to chase notable trophies and battle against the rivals from the top.
Lorenzo Musetti gave everything to chase the title in Athens and enter the ATP Finals instead of Felix Auger-Aliassime. He suffered a tight 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 defeat in three hours, with both players giving everything to prevail.

Now, he will replace Djokovic at the premium event, kicking off the action on Monday against Taylor Fritz.
