The main event of the November 7, 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown ended in pure chaosand it came with major consequences for one top star.

Cody Rhodes took on Aleister Black in a non-title showdown at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The two went back and forth in a stiff, physical match that showcased a full mix of suplexes, power slams, knee strikes, and submissions. But just as the pace hit its peak, things spiraled out of control.

With both men down after a series of simultaneous kicks, Drew McIntyre stormed the ring and blasted the referee with a Claymore out of nowhere, screaming in frustration. That attack stopped the match cold. Cody tried to fight back, but Black jumped in and leveled him. Then Damian Priest hit the scene, unloading on both Drew and Aleister. The chaos spilled out of the ring, and even Zelina Vega got thrown into the timekeepers area by Priest.

After the dust settled, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis walked out and made a firm call. With no hesitation, he announced on live television that Drew McIntyre was suspended for his actions.

Drew is suspended, Aldis declared as the show went off the air.

This suspension throws a wrench into McIntyres ongoing war with Cody Rhodes and the rest of the top talent circling the Undisputed WWE Championship. Whether this leads to bigger consequences or just adds fuel to Drews already unpredictable mindset remains to be seen.

Do you think Nick Aldis was right to suspend Drew McIntyre, or did things just get a little too real? Drop your thoughts in the comments and tell us how you think this story should play out.
