Thanks to his win at the Paris Masters 1000 last Sunday, Jannik Sinner is back at the top of the ATP rankings and has once again proven that he is the best in the world in indoor conditions. The Italian ace who had already prevailed at the Vienna ATP 500 the previous week lifted the fifth Masters 1000 trophy of his career thanks to a very brilliant run (especially from the quarterfinals onwards), in which he did not lose a single set.
The 24-year-old from Sesto Pusteria has already arrived in Turin, where the Nitto ATP Finals will be staged from 9 to 16 November, with the aim of repeating last year's triumph and ending the season as number 1. In order for him to reach this milestone, the four-time Grand Slam champion also needs his huge rival Carlos Alcaraz to win less than three matches at the Inalpi Arena next week.
Mahut reflects on Sinner
In a long interview with 'Eurosport', Nicolas Mahut analyzed Jannik's game in detail and also made an interesting prediction: "I think he can improve his game even more, especially in certain areas of the court. Listening to his statements, I doubt that he is a bit obsessed with Alcaraz. There is no doubt that Jannik is the best player in the world in indoor conditions and if he maintains this shape he has an excellent chance of prevailing in Turin as well.

However, I am not convinced that he will end 2025 at the top of the ATP rankings, because I believe that the Spanish champion will get three wins at the Finals."
Sinner and Alcaraz have faced each other in the last three Grand Slam finals, with two victories in favor of the Spaniard and one in favor of the Italian. In particular, the 22-year-old from Murcia won at Roland Garros and the US Open, while Jannik triumphed at the Wimbledon Championships for the first time in his career.
