John Isner believes Novak Djokovic may once again skip the ATP Finals in Turin. The Serb has qualified for the premium ATP event for the record-equaling 18th time, matching Roger Federer's record.
The American pointed out that Djokovic's place among the top eight came with a reduced schedule, which he described as absurd and a testament to his unmatched consistency and level.
Isner, however, doubts that the 24-time Major winner will make the trip to Turin. He suggested that Novak might already be looking to the 2026 season and new challenges in the season when he turns 39.
The Serb missed last year's ATP Finals after conquering his seventhtrophy over Jannik Sinner in 2023. Recently, the veteran has been managing physical issues in recent weeks.

He fell to Valentin Vacherot in the Shanghai Masters semi-final and retired against Taylor Fritz at the Six Kings Slam. Djokovic withdrew from this week's Paris Masters, but we will see him in action at the ATP 250 event in Athens next week.
After that, Djokovic's participation at the ATP Finals remains uncertain, although the legend plans to compete at the elite event. However, his decision will depend on how his body responds during the upcoming tournamentin the Greece capital.
Novak's focus appears to be on recovery and long-term planning rather than chasing short-term results. After all, the 24-time Major winner does not think about ranking or other things anymore, keeping his motivation while dreaming about another Major title.
"I do not think Novak will go to Turin. Although I hope I'm wrong. I think everyone would love to see him at the ATP Finals. It's absurd to see him qualified for that event based on his reduced schedule.

At 38, it's worth emphasizing again. However, I think he will skip it, as he did a year ago. He withdrew from Paris, and I think he is making preparations for 2026," John Isner said.
