WWE history has been shaped by many legendary people over the years. Its hard to ignore the influence that Dusty Rhodes had on the business.
While he worked with talent in NXT during the last portion of his life, Dusty Rhodes promo classes focused on improvisation, audience connection, and being real. This was something the Son of a Plumber knew all too well, and he tried his best to pass along those tools with weekly promo classes for talent.
Dusty Rhodes used things like spontaneous scenarios to help Superstars think fast and find their voice, like telling Saraya to pretend Roman Reigns was her ex who stole her toaster. These sessions taught wrestlers to adapt, connect with the crowd, and move beyond scripted lines. In the process, Rhodes helped shape a new generation of talent built on real-time communication and crowd awareness.
Real1 was known as Enzo Amore during that time, and he will never forget everything that Dusty Rhodes taught him. He also dropped a post that remembered one of Rhodes most famous promos, his legendary Hard Times promo. That post also included Real1 cutting his own Dusty-influenced promo.
