Years after Nexus burst onto the WWE scene in 2010, fans are still waiting for a proper deep dive into one of the most chaotic invasions in company history. Now, David Otunga says a documentary covering the faction was completedonly to vanish, and hes pointing fingers at none other than John Cena.

Speaking on the Muscle Memory podcast, Otunga confirmed the long-rumored Nexus documentary wasnt just an ideait was fully produced.

But just as the project wrapped, WWE underwent a wave of COVID-related layoffs that gutted the department responsible for its production.

Otunga said the producer was impressed with his role in the film and had planned to give him a spotlight moment in the final cut.

But fans never got to see it. When asked if backstage tension with John Cena could have influenced the documentarys shelving, Otunga didnt hold back.

And then he made the claim head-on.

Otungas comments add fuel to long-running speculation that Cena wasnt a fan of the Nexus storyline, especially after the original SummerSlam 2010 match that many say derailed the groups momentum.
