Many fans assumed Jey and Jimmy Uso were going to reform their tag team again this year, but that clearly didnt happen and now Jey Uso has explained why hes in no hurry to team up with his brother again.
While speaking on the RAW Recap show, Jey Uso was asked why he decided not to reunite as a tag team with his brother Jimmy Uso. He explained that he would never turn down Jimmy or deny that they are one of the greatest tag teams of all time.
While he would love to team up again someday, he believes both of them have unfinished business as singles competitors. Jey said he still has a lot to prove and wants to see Jimmy get a title shot, whether on SmackDown or Raw.
Jey Uso added that hes proud of Jimmys progress but noted that once a wrestler experiences success as a singles star and champion, it feels different. The opportunities grow, the money increases and theres more exposure. For now, Jey is focused on his own path and proving himself on his solo run.
This couldnt be more apparent after Jey Uso eliminated Jimmy Uso during the battle royal on RAW last week, which definitely shocked Jimmy Uso in a big way.
While a full-fledged reunion for a tag team run isnt happening right now, Jey made it clear that the door is always open for a future Usos comeback. For now, both brothers are focused on their own success and so well just have to see when theyll eventually reunite.
