The Bank of Utah Championship was not a glorious adventure for Max Homa, who suffered an injury. The important thing is that the experienced American fought through the second round, suffering pain and wanting to endure until the very end.
The famous golfer revealed that he has problems with bone spurs on an ankle that has terrible dorsiflexion. However, he did not have such pains before.
Max Homa pointed out the difficulty of the golf course and thinks that it is really difficult to navigate it.
It almost never gets inflamed, but I think this place is pretty hard to walk, Homa said, as quoted by Golf Digest. Walking down just a small hill on 12, like I didn't feel anything, But as we were walking down the fairway on 12 I could feel it getting swollen. Then when we were done on 12 it was very, very tender.

Max Homa stressed after the round that sometimes an injury can be a positive thing, because it helps him not to think too much about other aspects of his game. This speaks volumes about how much an experienced golfer analyzes every aspect of the game and how much he thinks about everything.

While some emphasize that Max is in great pain and that he must do something about it, the 34-year-old points out that his wife, who had complications during childbirth and went through several surgeries, is a huge inspiration.
I kept thinking about my wife had a horrendous birth with our first son and she had major, major surgery, and there is just no way I could complain about a hurt ankle while I walked. That one really she gets me through a lot. She couldn't look at me the same.
