Jey Uso may have punched his ticket to a World Heavyweight Championship showdown with CM Punk, but Bron Breakkers absence from the October 20 episode of WWE Raw has fans asking big questionsand now we know why.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bron Breakker was intentionally left out of the high-stakes Battle Royal for one major reason: WWE has long-term plans in place for him to win the World Heavyweight Championship, just not yet.
The report revealed that WWE officials made a strategic call through Adam Pearces on-screen authority character to keep both Breakker and Bronson Reed out of the match, despite offering no storyline explanation to fans. Dave Meltzer explained the logic behind the move:
WWE reportedly didnt want Breakkers coronation to happen at the upcoming Saturday Nights Main Event on November 1, which is a Peacock-exclusive show and not expected to deliver huge viewership numbers. As Meltzer put it:
Since Breakker isnt set to win the title at SNME, WWE felt it would do more harm than good to include him in the Battle Royal just to be eliminated.
Instead, WWE kept Breakker protected by having him appear in a segment alongside Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman to address Seth Rollins injurybut he didnt wrestle or even enter the Battle Royal that determined Punks next opponent.
This deliberate omission signals that WWE has something much bigger in store for Breakkerand theyre not about to rush it.
Do you think WWE is right to protect Bron Breakker for a bigger moment down the line? Or should he have been part of the title picture already? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
