AEW may be inching closer to holding an all-womens pay-per-viewand according to Athena, its not just a possibility, its already on Tony Khans radar.

During an interview with WFAA, the reigning ROH Womens World Champion addressed the question head-on. When asked about the idea of AEW doing a women-only showsomething neither AEW nor WWE has done recentlyAthena confirmed that Khan has thought it through.

Athena didnt hold back in putting over the AEW and Ring of Honor womens locker rooms, calling it the best in the world.

She went on to name several key players in the division, including herself, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mon, Toni Storm, and Alex Windsor. According to Athena, both AEW and ROH are vital platforms for developing talent and getting women the spotlight they deserve.

Khans renewed focus on womens wrestling has already resulted in the launch of the AEW Womens Tag Team Titles, with a tournament coming soon. Athena believes this is part of the gradual build needed before a standalone womens pay-per-view becomes reality.
