Denis Shapovalov got extremely frustrated with the Stockholm Open crowd during his quarterfinal match against home player Elias Ymer as the Canadian screamed at the Nordic Open crowd after being flipped off.

The third-seeded Canadian claimed the first break of the match in the ninth game to go 5-4 up before serving out for the opening set in the following game.

Down by a set, 243rd-ranked Swedish wildcard Ymer bounced back by registering his first break of the match in the second game of the second set and opening a 2-0 lead. After Shapovalov won the opening point of the third game, he unloaded at someone from the crowd. Moments later, the 26-year-old went to the chair umpire and alleged that he was flipped off by someone from the crowd.

Shapovalov: Can I flip everyone off!?

He's flipping me off. He's flipping me off. Can I flip everyone off? So then, why is he allowed? the Canadian bluntly asked the chair umpire.

After the incident, Shapovalov went on to break Ymer in that game, as well as in the fourth game, before opening a 4-2 lead. Stunningly, the No. 3 seed twice failed to serve out for the match in the rest of the second set. He paid the price for that as Ymer won the second-set tie-break with a 7-3 scoreline to send the match into a decider.

Fortunately for the Shapovalov, he managed to mentally put past what happened in the second set as he dominated the third set to complete a 6-4 6-7 (3) 6-1 win and reach the Stockholm semifinal.

But on Saturday, the Canadian's Stockholm run ended following a loss to Casper Ruud.
