Carlos Alcaraz has shown that he is predestined since the beginning of his career, but he lacked the right consistency to stay at the top of the ATP rankings for a long time and some thought that weak point would condition him for the rest of his journey on the professional tour.
The Spanish ace's 2025 had started less brilliantly than expected and the results had been mixed, with the 22-year-old from Murcia hitting his lowest point with a loss to Belgian veteran David Goffin in the second round of the Miami Open in the spring.
At that moment, Carlitos realized that he had to change something together with his team and it is no coincidence that he found his best tennis right at the beginning of the red clay season. From spring onwards, he radically changed gears and finally showed the regularity of a great champion by reaching at least the final in all the tournaments in which he participated.

Alcaraz can become one of the best ever
Alcaraz has lifted eight trophies in thisseason and has returned to the top of the ATP rankings after winning the US Open for the second time in his career, dethroning his huge rival Jannik Sinner who was also penalized by a three-month ban.
After missing the Shanghai Masters 1000 due to a left ankle injury, the world number 1 is back in action at the 'Six Kings Slam' in Saudi Arabia these days and is set to face Sinner in the final scheduled for today.
During a long interview with 'Tennis365', former world number 4 and current analyst Tim Henman was cautious when asked how many Majors a champion like Carlos could win: "The exploits of legends like Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have changed every perspective, but you have to understand that that is not normal. Alcaraz has already won six Grand Slam titles and is only 22 years old, which is why everyone is wondering if he can aspire to break certain records. Only time will answer this question."
