Konosuke Takeshitas AEW schedule has hit a snag as the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is heading back to Japan for the first time in six months, forcing him to miss some big U.S. dates.

DDT-Pro officially revealed that Takeshita will return to the promotion in early November, with his first appearance since the May 17 Dramatic Dreams show. The companys English Twitter account dropped the news, writing:

That schedule creates a direct conflict with AEW. The 14-hour time difference and long travel time means Takeshita cant make the November 5 Dynamite, and hell also be absent from the November 8 AEW Collision taping in Houston, Texas.

All of this comes during a career-defining moment for Takeshita, who recently captured the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from Zack Sabre Jr. at the King of Pro Wrestling event. After the win, he made it clear he wanted to showcase the title worldwide, while also admitting he would adjust things to meet his obligations.

As a key member of the Don Callis Family in AEW, his absence will definitely be noticed. For now, fans can still expect him at WrestleDream on October 18, where hell team with Kazuchika Okada against Bandido and Brody King for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Takeshita balancing three companiesAEW, NJPW, and DDT-Prowas always going to be complicated, and this is the latest example of those commitments colliding.
