Carlos Alcaraz is undoubtedly going through the best season of his young career and he himself admitted it in a recent interview. In addition to having shown the usual flashes of his infinite talent - which had also characterized his past seasons - the young Spanish ace has finally found that consistency that can allow him to become one of the best players ever.
The 22-year-old from Murcia recovered the first position in the ATP rankings by taking it away from his huge rival Jannik Sinner thanks to his triumph at the US Open, which was probably his best tournament from the point of view of continuity (he lost only one set in the entire tournament, lifting the trophy in New York for the second time in his career).
Alcaraz is having an amazing season
Thanks to his success at the Tokyo ATP 500, Carlitos has reached eight titles won in 2025 and has an excellent chance of ending the year at the top of the ATP rankings (especially after Sinner's premature elimination at the Shanghai Masters 1000). If he doesn't make changes to his schedule, the six-time Grand Slam champion will play the Paris Masters 1000 and the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin as his only official events between now and the end of 2025.

Although he has decided not to play the Shanghai Rolex Masters to recharge his batteries, Alcaraz is still first in the Masters 1000 points ranking this season. He currently has 3410 points, but the second in the standings Jack Draper had to announce the early end of his year due to a serious arm injury and will not be able to increase his points. Third in this particular ranking is the Italian star Lorenzo Musetti, who is also going through the best season of his career. The talent from Carrara is 1650 points behind Carlos, with only one Masters 1000 tournament to play.
This means that the Spanish ace is already certain to earn a bonus of $4.5 million per end, from which 25% will be deducted for each Masters 1000 tournament he did not participate in (Madrid, Toronto and Shanghai).
