Mercedes Mone isnt just defending championshipsshes actively planning to etch her name into wrestling history by breaking Ultimo Dragons legendary record of holding ten belts at once.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Mone has set her sights on surpassing Dragons milestone by taking on two more championship matches this month. She will first challenge Alessa Ink for the Bodyslam Wrestling Championship in Denmark on October 10, then head to Winnipeg on October 19 to face Jody Threat for the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling title at the Rumble in the Bert event. If she wins both, her total would climb to 11 championshipsmaking her the most decorated title holder at one time in wrestling history.
Right now, Mone is already carrying nine championships across the globe. Her collection includes the AEW TBS Championship, CMLL World Womens Championship, the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation belt, RevPros Undisputed British Womens Championship, the EWA Womens Championship in Austria, PTW Womens Championship in Poland, BestYa Womens Championship in Italy, the Queen of Southside Championship in the UK, and the Discovery Wrestling Womens Championship in Scotland.
Breaking Dragons record would be monumental. Back in 1996, Ultimo Dragon famously won the J-Crown, which unified eight titles. Adding the NWA World Middleweight and WCW Cruiserweight Championships brought him to ten, though he only held all of them together for a single week before losing the J-Crown to Jushin Liger. For decades, that mark has stood as one of wrestlings most iconic accomplishments.
