While fans rallied behind the former NXT Champion after his absence from TV, Kross isnt placing his success on crowd reactionsand revealed what someone told him behind the scenes when the chants started picking up steam.
During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Kross revealed that someone advised him to take WWEs offer before the chants faded out.
He made it clear that he and his team werent relying on the chants to dictate their career decisions, nor did they expect it to be a permanent thing.
While Kross appreciated the support, he also wanted to make sure people understood the bigger picture.
He also touched on the awkwardness of those chants happening while his friends were performing in the ring, and how it could feel disrespectful to the talent working hard that night.
Kross parted ways with WWE in August after contract negotiations broke down. Based on his comments, he left on his own termsand not because the crowd demanded it.
