Killer Kross has opened up about the real backstage reaction to his worked-shoot promo that aired following WrestleMania 41revealing that not everyone in WWE Creative was thrilled with how it went down.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Kross reflected on the now-infamous promo he delivered on Sam Roberts and Megan Morants post-WrestleMania show. In it, he broke kayfabe just enough to stir up buzz, calling out WWE for his lack of opportunities and referencing his past release.

Although fans loved the promo, Kross said things felt off backstage the following night at Raw. He shared that he received a call from Talent Relations about the fallout.

Kross immediately tried to smooth things over with the writing teambut found they didnt even know what the issue was.

Despite the confusion, the reaction eventually made sense. Kross learned that it was Triple H himself who wasnt thrilled at first.

Killer Kross and Scarlett officially parted ways with WWE when their contracts expired in August. But its clear Kross left on his own termswith no regrets about stirring things up on his way out.
