
Robert MacIntryre dominated the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, a DP World Tour tournament shortened from 72 to 54 holes due to inclement weather. The tournament was played in pairs (one pro and one amateur) on the three Scottish courses: the Old Course at St. Andrews, Carnoustie Golf Links at Carnoustie, and Kingsbarns Golf Links at Kingsbarns, all par 72.

The Scot finished with a score of 198 (66 66 66, -18), after a very consistent performance in both his three sets of 66 (-6), and in all three, with seven birdies and one bogey. He finished four shots ahead of England's Tyrrell Hatton, second with a score of 202 (-14), the defending champion, a member of LIV Golf, and his two-time teammate on the victorious Team Europe in Rome in 2023 and last September in Farmingdale, USA.

The three Italian players in the field are in the mid-to-lower rankings: Andrea Pavan, 40th with a score of 209 (65 71 73, -7), Guido Migliozzi (68 67 77), and Francesco Laporta (68 70 74), 71st with a score of 212 (-4).
South African Richard Sterne and England's John Parry are in third place with a score of 203 (-13), and in fifth place with a score of 204 (-12) are Spain's Angel Ayora, Sweden's Mikael Lindberg, Denmark's Jacob Skov Olesen, Norway's Kristoffer Reitan, Scotland's Scott Jamieson, and England's Jordan Smith. Two other members of Team Europe are also in the field: England's Matt Fitzpatrick and Tommy Fleetwood, both 21st with a score of 207 (-9).
In the pro-am, Harrison Crowe/Foley won with a 183 (-33), ahead of Jack Senior/Desmond (184, -32) and Alejandro Del Rey/Goode (185, -31).

Robert MacIntyre, 29, from Oban, is winning his fourth title on the DP World Tour (including the 2022 Italian Open), for a list of titles that includes one on the PGA Tour, another in a combined event with the European circuit, and one on the MENA Golf Tour. He was rewarded with a check for 696,437 out of a prize pool of approximately 4,260,000 (officially $5,000,000).
