Novak Djokovic reveals his 10-year-old son Stefan is in great love with tennis and wanted to accompany him in China, but he had to turn down his son's request simply because he has school duties.

At this year's Wimbledon, Djokovic had his entire family with him at The All England Club and he made sure to make the most out of it. After one of his wins, the Serbian tennis star started making moves and his kids started to dance. Also, in one of his interviews, the record 24-time Grand Slam champion revealed that his daughter Tara absolutely loved Aryna Sabalenka and wanted to spend as much time as possible with the top-ranked WTA player.

Following his Wimbledon semifinal loss, Djokovic only competed at the US Open during the North American hard-court swing - he also lost in the semis there. This week, the current world No. 5 arrived in Shanghai, where he is due to play his first tournament of the Asian swing.

Djokovic: Stefan was really insisting on traveling with me to China, but he has school duties

My son, he plays tennis more and so he follows what's going on. He was really insisting on travelling with me to China. He wants to travel with me everywhere, but he has to do school, and it's not that simple. But he's really in love with tennis and the sport," the 38-year-old explained.

Yeah, my kids and my wife are, you know, my biggest supporters, and obviously when they are in the stadium you've seen them how they support, how passionately they care about and play with me every single point. So, of course, me seeing them on the stands, you know, it's even more inspirational. I love to have them. But at the same time, you know, the kids cannot live daddy's life, they have to live their own life."
