Matt Riddle isnt backing down from being outspokenbut his honesty has definitely landed him in hot water with some of WWEs biggest stars.
In a new interview on TMZs Inside the Ring, Riddle gave an update on his past heat with Roman Reigns after claiming he could beat the former Undisputed WWE Champion in a real fight.
Riddle had previously said in multiple interviews that while Reigns might beat him in the ring, it would be a different story in an MMA or street fight. That opinion wasnt well-received backstageespecially by Roman himself.
Riddle doubled down on his stance but revealed during the TMZ interview that Roman personally reached out after the comments gained traction online.
Trying to smooth things over, Riddle turned to none other than Randy Orton for help.
This version of the apology reportedly cooled things down between the two stars. Riddle claims theyve since worked together with no lingering issues, calling Roman a stellar athlete and saying, the guy loves me.
Whether its calling out locker room leaders or refusing to walk back his words, Riddle has clearly embraced his role as the guy who doesnt sugarcoat anythingeven if it gets him heat.
