Former AEW star Leyla Hirsch has officially found her new home in the wrestling world.
After wrapping up her four-year stint with All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, Hirsch has signed a multi-year contract with Genesis Premier League, a rising promotion aiming to reshape womens wrestling.
Hirsch confirmed the move herself on Twitter, expressing excitement about helping build the company from the ground up. The Los Angeles-based promotion also shared the news on Instagram, hyping the signing and their ambitious goals for the womens wrestling scene.
Genesis Premier League, which held its inaugural events on September 13 and 14, is quickly positioning itself as a bold new player in the industry. Its upcoming event, At Any Cost, is set for October 5, and with Hirsch now officially on board, expectations are building.
Prior to signing this new deal, Hirsch was reportedly in discussions for a WWE tryout. Interestingly, it was revealed that she had pitched the idea of joining the company as a referee rather than an in-ring competitor. That tryout ultimately didnt lead to a deal, opening the door for this new chapter.
