Jannik Sinner claimed his second China Open crown in Beijing. World no. 2 faced the young American, Learnen Tien, in the final and secured a one-sided 6-2, 6-2 victory in an hour and 12 minutes.

Thus, the Italian secured his 21st ATP title and the 18th on hard courts. Jannik denied both break points and had the upper hand from start to finish. He tamed his strokes nicely and landed over 20 winners with under ten mistakes.

Tien could not follow that pace. A teenager failed to impose his strokes and challenge the champion from 2023. Tien served at 51% and sprayed six double faults. He lost half of the points in his games and suffered four breaks from six chances offered to the favorite.

Sinner forged a massive advantage in the shortest exchanges up to four strokes, firing more service winners and attacking first. The Italian served well in the opening set.

He provided an early break in the first game of the duel and delivered another at 3-1 to extend the gap. World no. 2 held at 15 in the eighth game to wrap up the first part of the duel and gain a boost.
