A passionate supporter has launched a petition on Change.org asking WWE to re-sign the former World Championand the online response is starting to pick up steam.
The petition argues that Del Rio, real name Jos Alberto Rodrguez Chucuan, deserves a return spot in WWE because of his decorated career and impact on Mexican wrestling. The fan believes his return would bring real value to WWEs global image and strengthen its connection with Latin American audiences.
They also made it clear WWE could gain a lot from bringing him backespecially in terms of roster diversity and in-ring credibility.
The petition pushes for WWE to view Del Rios return as more than just businessits about representation and legacy.
And to cap it off, the fan invited others to rally behind the cause with a bold call to action.
As of now, the petition has racked up 505 verified signaturesand that numbers growing. Del Rio, meanwhile, is currently involved in a Mexican reality TV show, but that hasnt stopped fans from hoping hell make one more run in WWE.
And apparently, its not just the fans. According to chatter, big names like Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, and Cody Rhodes have all voiced support behind the scenes for Del Rios return following his exit from AAA.
