Iga Swiatek excelled in the second round of the China Open tournament in Beijing, defeating Yuan Yue60, 63.
The 24-year-old Pole didn't have many problems in the first set, dominating every game.
Iga controlled the first set, and although the Chinese player tried to fight back in the second, she was unsuccessful.
The second set was somewhat more competitive, considering that the Chinese player tried to impose her rhythm, but Swiatek did not allow her to do so. The only real break chance for Yuan occurred in the fourth game, but Iga successfully neutralized the break point and won the game.

In the rest of the set, she faced little trouble for the rest of the set and didnt allow her opponent to pose a serious threat. The Pole once again showed her qualities in the key moments.
This victory opens up many avenues for her, and in the third round she will play against Colombian Camila Osorio, who advanced without much of a fight.
The world number 2 still has the role of favorite, but it will be interesting to see how she handles Osorio.

Speaking to the media, the Pole reflected on her victory in Beijing two years ago, revealing that she is excited to play in this tournament again.
The 24-year-old tennis player pointed out that every tournament has its own story and challenges, but stressed that she had great moments in Asia in recent weeks.
