Jack Draper's season can be divided into two parts. The young British ace who made significant improvements already at the end of last year started 2025 in a really brilliant way, winning his first Masters 1000 title in Indian Wells during the spring and entering the Top 5 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career.
Several experts and analysts suggested that he could be the most valid alternative to the dominance of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, having also strengthened his body compared to past seasons. However, injuries began to plague Jack again in the second half of the year, particularly after the Wimbledon Championships.
Draperwas expected to return in 2026
Draper was forced to miss the Masters 1000 in Toronto and Cincinnati over the summer and showed up at the US Open (the last Grand Slam of the 2025 season)with very little confidence, playing only one match before withdrawing from the tournament due to an arm issue.

A few days later, the winner of the Indian Wells tournament announced his intention to end his season early to completely resolve his injury and prevent the situation from getting worse. Everyone thought that the British star would be back in action directly in 2026, but the latest update surprised fans and insiders. Jack has received a wild card for the UTS London Grand Final, which kicks off on December 5.
He already won this event two years ago, when he defeated Danish star Holger Rune in the final. I have such great memories of winning UTS in front of my home crowd a couple of years ago," said Draper in an interview with theUTSwebsite. He also added: I think the format really suits my game and its so much fun to play. Im looking forward to getting back out there and competing.

I think its been a really weird format, really fun to play and obviously playing against the best players in the world and getting wins in those matches feels amazing.
