
Alize Cornet, the French tennis player who said goodbye to tennis at Roland-Garros in 2024, has decided to return to the tennis courts. Cornet felt that she still had unfulfilled goals, but this week she officially confirmed that she wouldpermanently retire.
It is important to note that she appeared on the French version of the reality show The Traitors, but her passion for tennis was still present.
This great athlete shared a photo from her last tournament on her Instagram profile, aware that it was time to end this chapter of her career.
Alize is happy that San Sebastian is the place where she closed one page of her life, but at the same time aware that she must open a new one and dedicate herself to the next phase of her life.

Memories and the end of an era
The 35-year-old was aware that she couldn't be in the rhythm she used to be, but still went 4-6 during her comeback. Cornet participated in several important tournaments, but she knew that during this year she would put an end to everything. Her debut at Wimbledon in 2007 as a lucky loser was a moment she will never forget.
Closing the circle of her career by playing qualifiers on grass courts was certainly a moment she wanted to accomplish.
