Mr. Anderson is back in a TNA ringat least for now.
During the September 25 episode of Impact Wrestling, the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion made his first in-ring appearance for the company in nearly a decade. Anderson teamed up with Steve Maclin in tag team action and picked up a victory over Jake Something and Frankie Kazarian. This marks Andersons first match in TNA since departing the promotion in 2016.
Anderson originally joined TNA in 2010 following a high-profile run in WWE as Mr. Kennedy. He went on to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice and became a key figure in storylines involving Immortal and Aces & Eights. His tenure with the promotion lasted until 2016, after which he briefly stepped away from the national spotlight before resurfacing in the NWA and other independent promotions.
There is currently no confirmation that Anderson has re-signed with TNA, and the appearance may have been a one-off. However, the door appears open for more, especially with Bound for Glory approaching and TNA leaning into nostalgia with major returns and veteran appearances.
