WWE shook things up just hours before RAW went live by announcing a loaded updateCody Rhodes will officially kick off tonights show. The Undisputed WWE Champion is stepping into the spotlight at the top of the hour, bringing serious momentum from WrestlePalooza straight into the Netflix era.
But Rhodes isnt the only major name added late. WWE also confirmed that newly crowned Womens World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will be in the building. After claiming the vacant title at WrestlePalooza, this will be her first appearance on RAW, and all eyes are on how she follows up such a huge milestone.
The lineup doesnt stop there. Bayley is now set to go one-on-one with Roxanne Perez in whats expected to be a pivotal match for the womens division. In tag team action, a wild no disqualification six-man match has been bookedThe New Day will join forces with Grayson Waller to take on the War Raiders and Penta El Zero Miedo.
Earlier in the day, WWE had already teased Rhodes presence on social media, but revealing hes opening the show puts an even bigger spotlight on tonights broadcast. With the fallout from WrestlePalooza still unfolding, and several top stars like CM Punk, AJ Lee, Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins advertised locally, the stakes are high across the board.
