The European delegation traveled from London on Sunday night to the conclusion of the DP World Tour tournament held at the Wentworth Course (United Kingdom), in which eleven of the twelve members of the European team participated, captained by Briton Luke Donald.
The objective of the training camp is to prepare for the tournament, which brings together the best European and American players every two years from a sporting perspective, and to foster team spirit ahead of the Bethpage event.

The European players will play nine holes on Monday and will complete the course on Tuesday.
At the end of the second day of training, similar to the 2023 Rome edition, the team will complete the training camp with a dinner in New York.
"We'll go into town for a fun dinner because we can't go into town during Ryder Cup week. It's very close, but it's quite far away, and there are a lot of people that week. It's nice to experience where we are, that New York atmosphere," Donald commented last week before participating in the Wentworth tournament.
With Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy and Spain's Jon Rahm as the most notable players, the European team includes England's Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Tyrrell Hatton, and Matt Fitzpatrick; Scotland's Robert MacIntyre; Ireland's Shane Lowry; Norway's Viktor Hovland; Sweden's Ludvig Aberg; and Denmark's Rasmus Hojgaard.

Completing the field is Austrian Sepp Straka, who did not participate in Wentworth due to the premature birth of his son a few weeks ago, but has traveled to New York to train with the rest of the team.
"We're going to do some of the same little workouts we did in Rome that really brought the team together. It's going to be a lot of fun spending those two days together and getting a feel for what Ryder Cup week will be like," Rahm said at Wentworth.
Once the New York training camp concludes, the players will remain in the United States and train separately for the remainder of the week before reuniting the following week for final tournament preparation.
The European team is the reigning Ryder Cup champion after their triumph in Rome in 2023 and faces the 45th edition with the challenge of winning in the United States, something they haven't done since 2012.

Compared to the previous edition, where Donald also served as captain, the only change is the addition of Rasmus Hojgaard instead of his twin brother Nicolai.
