WrestleMania 43 will be taking place in Saudi Arabia in 2027 but a lot of people are happy about this move. Despite all the backlash, many are in support of the move and that includes JBL, who believes WrestleMania 43 could be the greatest WrestleMania of all time.
While speaking on Something to Wrestle, JBL talked about the backlash over WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia. He said many fans were upset that the show wouldnt be in the United States and reacted with boos, chants of you sold out, and negative comments online.
Believes that most of the criticism comes from Saudi Arabias involvement but feels its misguided. JBL explained that no country, including the U.S., is free of issues, so refusing to do business with certain nations doesnt make sense.
While he understands people want to share their opinions, JBL disagrees with the idea that WWEs decision is wrong and believes its smart for business and entertainment.
JBL also predicted that as WrestleMania gets closer, the anger will die down. He said that once the event starts, fans will forget about the complaints and focus on the action. In fact, he believes WrestleMania 43 will be the greatest WrestleMania ever, thanks to the scale of the show and the historic moment of it being the first one held in Saudi Arabia.
WWE waspaid $250,000 by Saudi Arabia to hold WrestleMania 43 there in 2027, so its clearly a business decision and the company will do whats best for business. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether WrestleMania 43 will turn out to be the greatest WrestleMania in history, as anything could happen in the world of professional wrestling.
