AEW All Out just got more violent. During the September 13 episode of Collision, Mark Briscoe officially revealed the stipulation for his upcoming match against MJF and its not for the faint of heart.
Briscoe announced that their clash in Toronto will now be a Tables n Tacks match, combining two of the most punishing weapons in pro wrestling. After weeks of back-and-forth chaos, the feud is set to explode in one of the most brutal match types AEW has put on this year.
The announcement came at the top of the show, where Briscoe cut a backstage promo outlining the kind of punishment he had in mind. He mentioned several ideas before settling on what he felt was the perfect blend of chaos: tables and thumbtacks. He then ambushed MJF, trying to hit him with a Jay Driller into a pile of tacks before MJF narrowly escaped to the back.
The stipulation is a direct response to their escalating war. Earlier this summer, MJF tried to set Briscoe on fire during his campaign to get Hangman Page into a match at Forbidden Door. Briscoe retaliated weeks later, interfering in MJFs match and sparking a brawl that led to MJF laying down the challenge for All Out. Briscoe said he needed time to choose the match format and now its official.
Updated AEW All Out card for Saturday, September 20 in Toronto now includes:
- AEW World Champion Hangman Page vs Kyle Fletcher
- Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs FTR
- Mercedes Mon vs Riho for the TBS Championship
- Unified Championship three-way match (competitors TBA)
- The Hurt Syndicate vs Ricochet & Gates of Agony
- Jon Moxley vs Darby Allin in a coffin match
- Toni Storm vs Thekla vs Jamie Hayter vs Kris Statlander for the AEW Womens World Title
- Willow Nightingale, Mina Shirakawa, Harley Cameron & Queen Aminata vs Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford
- Tables n Tacks match: MJF vs Mark Briscoe
With violence promised and personal scores to settle, this stipulation just turned All Out into must-see mayhem.
