People fondly remember Jillian Halls time in WWE during the Ruthless Aggression era, especially thanks to her bad singing. However, some people thought she was making fun of Brooke Hogan and now Hall has decided to debunk these rumors.
While speaking on Ring the Belle, Jillian Hall cleared up rumors that her singing character was meant to mock Brooke Hogan as she made it clear that wasnt the case at all.
Hall explained that the idea for the singing gimmick actually came from her own backstage moment. During a house show, she, Ashley Massaro and Michelle were scheduled for a best body contest. While getting ready, Jillian was singing backstage as she often did, joking that she felt like Britney Spears long-lost sister and even calling herself Jillian Spears.
Ashley suggested she sing in front of the crowd, and although Jillian agreed, no one believed she would actually do it. She then told agent Fit Finlay she planned to sing instead of taking part in the contest and he approved.
When Jillian went on stage, she grabbed the microphone and told the audience she wasnt there to take off her clothes but to sing. The crowd responded with the loudest boos of the night. WWE staff noticed the reaction and quickly decided to bring the idea to television.
By ending the Brooke Hogan rumor, Jillian Hall finally shared the real story behind her famous singing gimmick. While we dont know if shell return to WWE again, fans are just glad that she never made fun of Brooke Hogan.
