WWE legend Shawn Michaels has officially weighed in on the mega-fight between Canelo lvarez and Terence Crawford and while hes not claiming to be an expert, the Heartbreak Kid made it clear which way hes leaning.
Appearing on Nightcap with Unc & Ocho, Michaels was asked about the long-awaited clash between two of boxings biggest names. The hosts called it one of the sports biggest events in years, prompting Michaels to reflect on what the fight means beyond just the matchup itself.
As for the actual fight, Michaels admitted he doesnt follow boxing closely but when it comes to picking a winner, hes sticking with the proven powerhouse.
Michaels joins Stephanie Vaquer in backing Canelo. Vaquer, who spent over a decade living in Mexico, told Sports Illustrated shes rooting for lvarez not just as a fighter, but as a cultural icon:
