World no. 7 Jack Draper has brought his season to an early close! The Briton has been dealing with ongoing arm issues that have prevented him from competing at his usual level in the previous months.
A left-hander, who had been enjoying a breakthrough year, has decided to prioritize recovery and a strong return in 2026. Jack hopes to bounce back injury-free and extend his good run from the first part of 2025.
Draper suffered an early Wimbledon loss and withdrew from the upcoming Masters 1000 events. He gave everything to rest his body and fix his issues ahead of the US Open.
However, world no. 5 did not enjoy a pleasant ride in New York despite an early win. Jack ousted Federico Agustin Gomez 6-4, 7-5, 6-7, 6-2 after a massive battle. However, the 23-year-old felt discomfort in his troubledarm and withdrew ahead of the second-round clash.
Rather than risking further damage, a left-hander decided to rest and recover, acknowledging that the decision, though difficult, was necessary for his long-term plans and desires.

The Briton is 30-9 in 2025. He kicked off the season ranked 18th and cracked the top-10 following a brilliant run in Indian Wells and his first Masters 1000 crown.
A couple of weeks later, Jack played in another Masters 1000 final in Madrid, falling to Casper Ruud after a massive battle. Draper fell to Carlos Alcaraz in the Rome Masters quarter-final and lost in the Queen's semi-final.
It remains his last good result following an early Wimbledon setback and the US Open withdrawal. While the injury scare halts his 2025 campaign, Jack's determination remains clear.
He experienced physical problems in the past and emerged stronger. His will and motivation assure that the latest challenge will be no different.

"Hi guys, here is an update from me. Unfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I will be sitting out the rest of 2025. It is very difficult to accept, as I was building incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff.
However, I have been through this before, and I always come back stronger as I'm so motivated to fulfil my potential as a player. Huge thanks to everyone who backs me to do well and supports me on my journey.
Can not wait to get back out there and give it my all. See you soon!" Jack Draper said.
