Nick Hogan filed a lawsuit against Bubba the Love Sponge to prevent Bubba from releasing his Hulk Hogan documentary. While the lawsuits still going on, Brooke Hogan attended the premiere and has now defended the documentary.
While speaking at the premiere of Bubba the Love Sponges Hulk Hogan documentary, Brooke Hogan said her fathers death is still very fresh, and there are a lot of emotions in her family.
Hogan explained that her family often reacts quickly and strongly, in a very religious way. She didnt say Nick Hogan was wrong, but she wished they had handled things differently. Instead of assuming the worst, they could have asked to see the tape first.
Brooke said the cover of the documentary makes it look like something scandalous, as if Bubba was trying to take advantage of Hulk Hogans death. But in reality, it was a project that had been planned for years. She also said this is one reason she removed herself from her fathers will; she didnt want to be part of the family drama.
According to Brooke, if her family had watched the film, they would see that it actually clears both her dad and Bubba. The real blame, she said, belongs to the people who did the wrong thing and were never punished.
Brooke believes the documentary gives people a new perspective and when she watched it, it matched what her dad had told her, that Bubba didnt leak the tape. That was enough reason for her to support the premiere.
Brooke Hogan also said Bubba never did anything to hurt her dad. She knows this because her father told her directly. What really damaged their friendship was public opinion, legal issues, and outside pressure. In reality, they werent against each other; it was someone else with bad intentions.
Brooke said the event felt good because so many people came up to her with love for both her dad and Bubba, remembering better times. To her, it felt like her dad was with her in spirit. She recalled that her dad had been Bubbas best man at his wedding and once said he would only trust his kids with Bubba.
Even with all the drama, Brooke still sees Bubba as family, trusts his heart, and chooses to stand by what she believes is the truth. In the end, she said people change and go through hard times, but she will always love her dad, her brother, her mom and her Uncle Bubba.
Nick Hogans lawsuit is still going on, but Brooke Hogans support for Bubba adds more emotion to the familys complicated situation. To Brooke, the documentary isnt about taking advantage of Hulk Hogans death; its about telling the truth about what really happened. So well have to see what becomes of the lawsuit in the end.
Do you think Brooke Hogan is right to defend Bubba the Love Sponge and the documentary, or should the Hogan family have presented a united front against it? Share your thoughts in the comments!
