The Beast may be in Chicago.
WWE is loading up their SmackDown for Friday, and it appears that Brock Lesnar could make the trip. The Beast Incarnate shocked fans at SummerSlam, seemingly setting up a future match against John Cena. With Wrestlepalooza coming up, it seems they may get to that.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Brock Lesnar is expected to be in Chicago this week. WWE sources have reportedly confirmed that he is scheduled to travel to the city. SmackDown will air live from Chicago on Friday night.
The show is also expected to feature John Cena. According to WrestleVotes, this could be Cenas final SmackDown appearance, which would be a historic television show.
Brock Lesnar and John Cena are scheduled to compete at Wrestlepalooza. The match has not been officially announced. WWE has been planning the SmackDown and Wrestlepalooza events together.
Sources said WWE intentionally wanted to stack the card for this weeks show. This is part of the larger build to Wrestlepalooza. Lesnar is reportedly scheduled to arrive in Chicago on Thursday. His involvement in SmackDown has not been confirmed but remains very possible.
John Cena is just coming off a program against Logan Paul that saw the two collide at Clash in Paris. Only time will tell how Cena and Lesnars projected final encounter will pan out. WWE Wrestlepalooza will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana
