Cena confirmed during the WWE Clash in Paris post-show that he will be appearing on the September 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, which takes place in Chicago, Illinois. The appearance is part of the final stretch of Cenas career, as he now has only eight matches left before retiring from in-ring competition.
At Clash in Paris, Cena scored a win over Logan Paul, bouncing back after being blindsided by Paul on a recent SmackDown. That attack came just as General Manager Nick Aldis was about to deliver a message from Brock Lesnara follow-up to Lesnars shocking return at SummerSlam, where he laid Cena out.
Cenas next scheduled match will take place at Wrestlepalooza on September 20. As the countdown to his farewell continues, every stop is becoming a must-see moment.
